EXPERIENCE

With over 50 years of combined experience, our team of hydrologists specialises in water resources assessment, hydrological modelling, and environmental analysis. We bring expertise in resource system modelling, probabilistic yield assessments, groundwater-river interactions, and low flow and flood frequency analysis, ensuring robust, data-driven solutions for complex hydrology challenges.

Fieldwork is a critical foundation of our approach. From river sampling and flow monitoring to groundwater assessments and catchment surveys, we believe that high-quality on-site data collection is essential for developing bespoke hydrological analyses and solutions. By integrating real-world observations with advanced modelling techniques, we ensure that our recommendations are grounded in reality and tailored to the specific needs of each project.

Our proficiency extends to advanced hydrological software, including:
-
Extensive in-house developed software for statistical analysis of flow data and water resources
-
Water resources modelling - Hydro-Logic® Aquator XV (we were the first water resources team in the world to use this now UK standard water resources modelling package)
-
Rainfall-runoff modelling - Catchmod, GR6J, HYSIM®
-
Hydraulic and river modelling - Flood Modeller®, MIKE11®
-
Flood estimation - FEH Web Service, ReFH 2 with skilled localisation and validation of derived estimates
-
Geographic Information Systems - QGIS
-
and custom programming in FORTRAN, Python, R, and MS VBA.
From field data collection to the management and analysis of large datasets, we provide comprehensive insights that drive sustainable water resource solutions.

We are committed to working on ethically responsible projects—whether partnering with large organisations or supporting individuals in the UK and globally. Our approach is rooted in scientific integrity and sustainability. With a core team of PhD-qualified specialists, we combine academic depth with practical experience, ensuring a high standard of professional expertise without losing sight of real-world impact.
